WHAT WE OFFER

AUSTRALIAN-GERMAN WELFARE SOCIETY of SYDNEY

The Australian-German Welfare Society welcomes all German-speaking migrants to access its range of services. Our dedicated staff are fluent in both English and German, ensuring effective communication and support. Silke Giesler, the Manager, is a registered Justice of the Peace in New South Wales and is available to provide JP services when needed. Most of our services are offered free of charge, with only a few exceptions. We invite you to contact our office for more detailed information.

Our Services

Regular meetings, lunches and outings for our clients and members
Advice in social security matters (in cooperation with the German Consulate)
Screenings of German films, concerts and guest speakers addressing matters of interest for the elderly
Support in the event of personal difficulties
Referral to German-speaking legal professionals

We will charge for the following services:

Assistance in applying for (or lodging) a German or Austrian Pension
Non-certified translations
Distribution of forms & brochures by mail
Contacting German/Foreign authorities by email on your behalf
