The Australian German Welfare Society Sydney offers its services to all German-speaking migrants. Our staff is fluent in English and German, and the Manager is a New South Wales Justice of Peace who is able to provide JP services.

While most services are free of charge there are a few exceptions.

The AGWS offers:

• Regular meetings, lunches and outings for our clients and members
• Screenings of German films, concerts and guest speakers addressing matters of interest for the elderly
• Referral to German-speaking legal professionals
• Advice in social security matters (in cooperation with the German Consulate)
• Support in the event of personal difficulties

We will charge for the following services:

• Assistance in applying for (or lodging) a German or Austrian Pension
• Issue of Life Certificates
• Non-certified translations
• Distribution of forms & brochures by mail
• Contacting German/Foreign authorities by email or mail on your behalf
